YAS ID - Privacy Policy

What is the YAS ID?

The YAS ID is a centralised authentication service provided and managed by Farah Experiences LLC for the entire Yas Island. YAS ID is your unique online identifier allowing you to seamlessly connect to various services throughout Yas Island. For example, when you create a YAS ID, you would be able to automatically connect to the Wi-Fi services available in the leisure parks (Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, Clymb and Warner Bros World Abu Dhab), in Cascade Dining and Yas Marina. The YAS ID will allow you as well to connect without having to sign up or register multiple times to various online portals such as the Yas Island Website and App, and the leisure parks websites and mobile apps.

What is Personal Data?

Personal Data is any information that allows to identify you as an individual in a direct or indirect way. Examples of Personal Data are your name, email address, postal address, location data and online identifiers. Statistical data such as the number of users of YAS ID is not Personal Data.

  1. What types of personal data do we collect when you sign up for YAS ID?

When you create a YAS ID: To create your unique identifier for Yas Island – "YAS ID", we ask for your email address, full name, nationality, country of residence and your phone number.

When you create a YAS ID via Facebook Log in and Google Plus You have the possibility as well to Sign up for YAS ID using your Facebook account or Google Plus. When you choose to sign up with your Facebook or Google Plus Account to create a YAS ID, the informaiton that we will receive is your full name, email address and we ask for you nationality and coutnry of residence. Please note that when you log in with your Facebook or Google account, Facebook and Google will receive information about your activity on our websites and mobile apps. Automatically when you are signed in with the YAS ID: We will collect some data automatically when you are signed up with YAS ID such as your Mac Address or mobile ID device, device type and your geolocation.

We collect the personal data outlined above for the following reasons:

Your YAS ID will be associated with your Mac address or mobile ID device in order to allow you to automatically connect in the future to various services. In certain cases, we might associate your location and different activities on the Yas Island for which you have used YAS ID for the purpose of creating a unique customer profile. For example, if you have connected to the Wi-fi in a Leisure Park using your YAS ID and bought online a Ticket for Warner Brothers using YAS ID, we will associate these activities to your YAS ID.

We will use this information for marketing analysis and profiling with a view to understand our customers and provide them with an exceptional digital experience on the Island.

With your consent (opt-in upon registration), we may occasionally send you our latest updates, promotions and news to your email address. You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the [‘unsubscribe’] link in any email.

  1. How do we use cookies?

Our Website and Apps uses cookies, which are small text files that are placed on your device and can be read-out when you visit a website page. Whereas session cookies will be deleted once you close your web browser, persistent cookies will be retained until they expire unless you delete them earlier manually.

Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but also allow you to modify your browser settings to block them. You can also set your browser to warn you before it accepts cookies and refuse the cookie when your browser alerts you to its presence. If you accept cookies, you can also delete them later.

However, blocking, refusing to accept or deleting cookies may prevent the Website/App or certain of its functions from functioning properly.   1. Where do we store your YAS ID ?

We store your YAS ID and the data associated to it in a centralised database managed by Farah Experiences LLC hosted in the cloud. Group members and affiliates might have access to this database.

  1. How do we share your information with third parties?

We may share your information with our affiliated companies and partners for the purposes of providing you with our services, improving our services, for data analytics and promotion purposes. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to other third parties unless you have given us permission or we are required by law to do so. In some cases, the data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of the Website (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as data processors by us. We may also disclose the data stored in the log files to developers, forensic experts, legal advisors and other resources we may use to assist us with the purposes outlined at Section 2 above (“Purpose”).

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any password or account details (as may be applicable from time to time) and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account.

Applicable data protection laws may give you the right to: (i) request from us access to, rectification or erasure of, or restriction of processing concerning your data; (ii) object to the processing of your data; as well as (iii) data portability. If you wish to discuss how we have handled your personal data, you can contact us at any time and we will investigate the matter. If you are not satisfied with the response or believe we are not processing your data in accordance with the applicable law you can refer the matter to any competent data protection authority.
